About us
Hi Friend,
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being here. I hope our creations brings you as much joy to play with and learn by as they have brought to me in bringing them to fruition.
It is my desire to share the Gospel as I know it today; my hope is that it encourages and cultivates conversation between parents and their children, friends and family, and everyone in between.
This is of high importance to me because for a long time I believed in a false idea of God; believing He was distant, that I disappointed Him, and that I was of no value to Him.
God has since used extremely difficult events in my life to reveal the truth of who He truly is. During the hardships, I started experiencing the true love of our Father in a way that felt like I was a child again. I had to completely relearn the character of our God. As He guided me through this period of my life, I realized that HE had been there the entire time, especially through the suffering, and I’ve been beautifully changed because of Him.
It was during this time of reflection that I felt an urge to create something for God. I believe He placed the desire in my heart to build these blocks to showcase His grace, mercy, and love; just as HE builds in it all of us.
Some of us haven’t heard the Good News of the Gospel, and I would like to offer a small piece of my heart and my understanding of it today:
It’s common for people to think of the Bible as a foreign book, difficult to grasp, and full of religious terms that are hard to understand. This was certainly the case for me. My understanding of the Bible changed when I realized that the Bible was a series of parallel stories and themes that joined the Old Testament to the New Testament. This joining of two places in time leads us into knowing the saving works of Jesus Christ and reveals God’s fierce love for us, His children. The Bible is a journey of God’s rescue plan for us. It’s full of human pitfalls, hard lessons, and guidelines of wisdom and how to treat one another in a Christ-like manner through the transformation of our hearts. Above all, it showcases God undying love for us, His creation.
Let’s briefly take a look at the Old and New Testament and how they are two halves of the same whole, both pointing to the love of Jesus.
The Old Testament outlines God's desire for us to live in relationship with Him after Adam and Eve chose the path of sin; creating division within humans and our relationship with God. It is full of recurring themes, religious laws, and deep symbolism; all which show God continually seeking after His people. He creates covenant after covenant with them to bring them out of their sin. They continue to sin and continue to live by their own selfish desires, further fracturing their relationship with God. Over hundreds of years, we proved to God that we couldn’t uphold our end of the covenant.
That is why, in the New Testament, God sent His son, Jesus. Jesus took our place in the covenant and became our sacrifice. Because of Jesus, we can freely join in relationship with God, with no other sacrifices to be made. The New Testament is full of the teachings of Jesus on how to live a life that points back to the grace and mercy of God. He encourages us to start living as part of His Kingdom, now. This leaves us with a choice: whether we are going to choose to willingly follow and be transformed by God, or, turn away from Him. The choice is our own to make.
As a whole, the Bible teaches us the way of God and His character: to value, honor, and love every person He has created as we are all made in His image. It is God’s desire for us to become more like Him in how we hold ourselves and treat each other, daily. We are charged with stewarding the Kingdom of God to, and for, others to see.
My prayer is for these Biblical ABC Blocks to encourage a curiosity that creates a desire to know God and pursue a deeper connection with Him.
All the glory to God & with all my love,
